Join naturalist Carrie Elvey and discover how the Project WILD and Aquatic Project WILD curriculum can help you connect your students with nature. This curriculum emphasizes awareness, appreciation, and understanding of our wildlife and natural resources. This is also great for afterschool programs, homeschoolers, and anyone working with groups of youth. Bring a sack lunch and dress to be outside for portions of this class. The Ohio Division of Wildlife provides Project WILD materials free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
Carrie Elvey is a naturalist from Holmes County with 25 years of experience connecting students of all ages with the amazing natural history stories that can be found in their own backyards. For two decades, Carrie was the senior naturalist at The Wilderness Center. Today, she is the founder of Darwin’s Dream, a local company dedicated to fostering a connection with nature through education, exploration, and art.
Project WILD is a Wildlife Diversity project supported by Ohio income tax check-off donations, Cardinal license plate sales, and hunting and fishing license sales. Aquatic Project WILD is supported by the Sportfish Restoration Fund.
